Following a traumatic childhood incident in Crime Alley where his father, Thomas Wayne, was killed shielding him during a mass shooting, Bruce trains himself to be a force of, for, and by the people. Operating without vast resources, this Batman is a towering, physically intimidating figure who uses a heavily customized suit—featuring a bat-symbol that doubles as an axe—and acts as a vigilante in the city’s most underserved, chaotic areas
